Kid Flash is a superhero name used by multiple characters in DC Comics. The most well-known is likely Wally West.

Wally West first appeared as Kid Flash in The Flash #110 (December 1959). He gained his powers after being struck by lightning while visiting his uncle, Barry Allen, the Flash, in his lab. The accident involved the same chemicals that gave Barry his speed.

As Kid Flash, Wally became Flash's sidekick, fighting crime in Central City and Keystone City. He was also a founding member of the Teen Titans.

Following Barry Allen's death in Crisis on Infinite Earths, Wally West took on the mantle of the Flash.
